Fathering the Fatherless through mentorship, skill and identity in Christ.
Serving Maury County, Tennessee
"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
Proverbs 27:17
There are nearly 18.5 million fatherless children in the U.S., which is the largest percentage of fatherless children in the world. Because of this young men are growing up without steady male presence, clear direction and healthy examples of manhood.
When those questions go unanswered, identity gets built through performance, rebellion, withdrawal or survival.
Am I valuable?
Do I have what it takes?
What does it mean to be a man?
J2J exists to form young men who are grounded, skilled, truthful, responsible and connected to God, their mentor and their community.
We are not here to pass out charity.
We are here to restore dignity.
J2J reaches families through community touchpoints - shop days, car repair outreach, Bible studies, music nights, church partners, school referrals, podcast clips, social media and word of mouth. The website channels every visitor into one of four clear actions.
Walk with a young man through steady presence, wisdom and care.
Step into guidance, growth, skill and identity in Christ.
Support the mission through events, hospitality and practical help.
Fuel mentorship, outreach and long-term formation.
A simple operating spine. Know your neighbor. Build trust. Assess real needs. Listen with empathy. Direct the solution to the Father's voice. Reflect God's Heart.
“A young man cannot be formed by a system he does not trust.”
The goal is not behavior management. The goal is a young man learning to live from sonship, not survival.
Mentors are trained to listen before correcting, ask Socratic questions, use the Seven Pillars and guide badge progress with consistency.
J2J tracks growth through twelve badges across three areas. Badges give mentors, families and donors a clear view of progress.
The shop teaches more than technique. Young men learn to repair what is broken, then use that skill to bless others.
Service can look like repairing a car for a single mother, helping in the shop, supporting a church project, serving a neighbor or mentoring the next young man behind them.
The win is a young man moving from being served to becoming someone who serves.
Local businesses and supporters who keep the shop running and the doors open.

“I am a son.
And I will pass it on.”
J2J needs partners who will fund tools, mentor training, shop consumables, meals, transportation, mechanical outreach and program growth.
Your gift becomes physical: tools in a young man's hand, a mentor at the table, a repaired vehicle, a badge earned and a life moving toward Godly responsibility.
Mentor. Volunteer. Give. Open a door.
